EU RoHS Directive

The Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in EEE (RoHS) stipulates that electronic and electrical equipment sold to the EU market after July 1, 2006 shall not contain Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). Since the announcement of the RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC), MSI has completed the raw material confirmation and process conversion for the relevant requirements of the law, and introduced the Hazardous Substance Management System (IECQ-QC 080000) and obtained certification to ensure that the products meet the relevant requirements. On July 1, 2011, the EU officially announced the revised version of the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU), which is known as RoHS 2.0, it replaced the old directive (2002/95/EC) on January 3, 2013, and further on April 24, 2015 announce amendment directive (EU) 2015/863 to adding four Phthalates (DEHP/BBP/DBP/DIBP) as restricted substances (effective July 22, 2019). MSI has responded to the requirements of the new law to ensure that the product fully meets the requirements.
